Never heard of the source and it doesn't seem a good one. Nasri out for just two weeks is he???

I will be keeping Negredo for this GW.

It's annoying that Aguero is going up in price, but all it means is that, when it comes to doing my WC, I do something like get Baker instead of Gabbidon or Kos instead of Merts.

I think I may have messed up this GW, having brought in Giroud for Rooney. I wanted Giroud's fixture. But Sturridge is going up in price at least as much as Giroud, if not more, which means, I'll have lost even more $$ if I then want Sturridge in my WC. Anyway, could still all be alright if Giroud does the business against Fulham, and the masses get on board his low price.

Is that a trustworthy source? They said Aguero had a hamstring injury when it was a calf injury. It also conflicts with what Pellegrini said after the game last night regarding Silva & Toure (link below). I don't trust that site I'm afraid.

Sorry all, I was just sourcing some information and found it, so thought I would post it to try and help us all, but the correct link to folow and team news for sat v Cardiff, is as per RidleyMTB post, as this is straight from the horses mouth. Silva & Toure both fit for Sat.

Yes... Nasri hobbling on the sidelines with crutches is just an elaborate ruse by MP to fool FF mangers and MCI's next, unsuspecting opponents

After all that, if I want to get Aguero in my team at the cost of only -4 (WC next GW) then I have to get rid of Toure.

My only options to downgrade for only a -4 hit is sell Toure (leaving 6.9m)
Selling Cabaye leaves me with 4m for a Mid replacment and the cheapest Mid is 4.1m Dohhhhhhhhhhhh

So as im playing my WC next GW, I can do 1 of 3 options below.

1) Transfer Aguero in and downgrade Toure = -4 hit
2) Trasfer Sturridge in for Lukakua and replace a defender = -4 hit, Aguero points haul cancelled out by Sturridge points haul (he says hopefully)
3) Leave frontline as, Suarez, Giroud & Lukakua and use 1 transfer in Def = No points hit, but risk of losing out on Man city points haul?

Opinions welcome, Cheers!

I think Negredo will start on the weekend. I have enough to get Aguero as a straight swap but I’m really not sure if now is the right time to do it, as Negredo is on great form and will surely get more gametime on the weekend than Aguero. Aguero seems more risky in terms of whether he will start.

A really tricky one this week. Aguero price rises might force my hand. I only have 0.2 to play with and he will go up 0.1 tonight.

I might join Billy in keeping Negredo if I can afford to do it.

He can't go up more than 0.2 this week, so you can definitely afford to keep Negredo.

In my case, I'm mightily tempted to use my wildcard (which I was hoping to save until next week). Already foolishly used my FT this week to get Ozil in before his price rise (and before his poor performance on Monday night) :x .

Good point. Cheers. Problem is he will prob go up 0.1 on Saturday too, so I may be forced into an early transfer :?

No as I will have 2 FT's to address any other issues  I think keeping Negredo is the way to go this week.

very annoying this aguero business, totally going against the trend of man city having tough fixtures coming up and was planning on getting him after their chelsea match, looks like hel be going up by 0.4 then!

As a City fan, most likely scenario for me is:

Cardiff: Aguero starts, plays first 60 mins or so and comes off if the game is safe. Negredo plays most of game. Dzeko comes on at some point.

West Ham (COCSF): Aguero on bench to be given 10-15 minute run-out at the end to top up his fitness (or might not even be on bench/travel). Dzkeo up front for sure, might be in a 4-2-3-1.

Watford (FAC4R): Aguero to start 95% of games from here, again likely to get subbed off early in most. Toss-up between Negredo and Dzeko to partner him in the 4-2-2-2 (or 4-4-2 if you will); maybe Neggers at home and Dzeks away. Aguero might slip back into the centre of the "3" of a 4-2-3-1 against the better teams like Chelsea.

How about this:

Dzeko & Negredo have been in great form, so ne need to rush Aguero back for a start and risk injury.

Cardiff - Dzeko/Negredo start, Aguero comes on for Negredo after 60 mins & Jovetic comes on for Dzeko on 75mins

West Ham - Aguero/Dzeko start, Jovetic/Negredo on after 60 mins

Watford - Aguero/Jovetic start, Dzeko replaces Jovetic on 60mins, Aguero plays 90mins & Negredo gets a well earned rest

Just thougt I would throw another scenario into the mix, now Jovetic is fit.

It is possible Aguero will only be on the bench on Saturday but MP does like to play strong teams so my bet is on him starting. Obviously, we may get some hints from MP in tomorrow's press conference.

I'm ignoring that "Jovetic is fit" news as I've heard it all before! https://twitter.com/WheresJovetic

If he (Jovetic, this is) is fit, I think he's more likely to take game time off Navas or Milner (who I expect to alternately fill the place of the injured Nasri).

If he (Jovetic again) is fit, he will start against West Ham for sure. And if he gets through that unscathed, could well start against Watford too.

Doesn't look like he is fit enough to start games yet:

Likely to be on the bench again for Cardiff judging by his quotes.

Pellegrini said: "It's important that Sergio came back and scored, which he did with his first touch.

"We have so many games at this stage."

The Chilean added: "Also to play 25 minutes will be important for him because he is fit after injury but he must be working on his fitness again."

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25754418

Not sure how to interpret that bit in bold but it hints he isn't ready for 90 minutes yet.

Since Aguero's injury, Dzeko's been in his best form since he came to the club. His heading, his first touch, his link-up play have all improved recently. The one thing he seems to need is a regular run of games and then he gets really sharp. So maybe it's a good thing we're playing every 3 days!

There's a sizeable minority of City fans who think he's awful and they have been very silent lately. OK he was pretty woeful in the first half last night but then really turned it on second half. He can be very Jekyll and Hyde from one moment to the next.

In away PL games, he may start at the expense of Negredo, alongside or just in front of Aguero.

But he proved yesterday that he doesn't need 90 to do something, albeit against Blackburn Rovers.

Aguero's line

"Maybe in a week I'll be on top form. Obviously, the more you play the better you feel. I hope I can play a little bit longer on Saturday and take it step by step."

doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence. At a guess, 60 mins against Cardiff before being replaced by Dzeko. Worth bringing in early to avoid the 0.1m rise? Hmmm....

He can do a lot of damage in 60 minutes.

In the league (which is all that matters for the purpose of this game) Negredo is steady and nothing else, a lot of single goals and he doesn't lap up the bonus.

His double strikes in Cup games mean nothing now, in the league I would always opt for 60 of Aguero over 90 from Negredo because Aguero has proved time and time again that he can explode in a big way against any side.

I think it will be a Norwich or Spurs score line rather than a Palace one this weekend. Even in 60 I would predict a brace and an assist for him. Cardiff just don't look like scoring when they get to the box.

I'm probably gonna do the same, as it allows me to bring in Sturridge for Rodriguez with my 2 FT next week. I'll consider bringing Aguero in after the Chelsea game

I'm looking to get Aguero in for either Welbeck or Remy, then I'll be using my WC straight after Saturday's deadline.

Who's best to keep for this weekend...
Welbeck vs Chelsea (away)
Remy vs West Ham (away)

:?:

I'll be getting rid of both of them during the WC.
