Not my area but I know Accountants seemingly make the best FF players so there are loads on Fiso!

My cousin has just come back from 3 months travelling and moving down to London looking for a Accounting Assistant role - he worked 3 years for Bupa straight from Uni and has Nine CIMA exams passed- successful completion of Certificate and Operational levels of the qualification.

Anyone got any good ideas on who to approach - ie who are the best Accountancy recruitment companies etc

Thanks for any help
Bruce

A good portal is http://www.gaapweb.com - it lists all roles across numerous agents and is customisable - it can also be set up to send out auto emails when jobs become available. Robert Half and Michael Page will be amongst the RC's that have jobs advertised on this.

Broardly there are two area Financial services and non financial services - RH and MP do both - if he is interested in Financial - try http://www.markssattin.co.uk they are quite good.

Check out Accountancy Age for the top 100 accounting firms by revenue. Unfortunately, very few offer sponsored training contracts for CIMA because the qualification is more relevant to industry than a stand alone professional services firm. More than likely, your cousin would have to transfer his CIMA credits to ACA/ACCA. If he does not want to do this, then he should find a position in industry.

Not quite

2008 Present
2002 Small
1998 Mid Tier
1995 Big 6 (now 4)

I always try and re-assess my position every three years...I actually timed two departures to coincide with the World Cup :P

Happy where I am now but for the first time there is more chance of them getting rid of me than me moving on :|

I am a recruitment consultant, for an independent firm. You are much better off using an independent as they tend to have access to more jobs.

PM me if you require any assistance.

Do you use payment companies (umbrella/CIS) Rich? If so let me know as I run a payment company and can offer you decent incentives for referrals if you fancy it? :D
