This is a great game format, Spence; not seen it before but thanks for creating/organising it.

Would be even better if there were prizes too(!); perhaps Mr Green could be extra generous and provide complimentary entry to next FL Golf contest?

In any case, am enjoying the Matchplay tussles, even though it's through occasional glimpses of PGA web updates via an ancient laptop this weekend...

Yes - cheers, Spence! A simple format which resulted in a closely fought competition - it hinged entirely on the fact that you predicted both the winner of the final and the 3rd/4th play-off...

Let's say in advance of next year's competition (assuming you're willing to run it again!) that I'll offer a free entry to the 2011 FL Golf competition - but this will come out of my own pocket rather than FL coffers as I'm not sure the company would be completely in favour of subsidising externally-run competitions.

If this is in addition to a night out with Mrs Sp4, then all the better!

Didn't get opportunity to watch any of the Matchplay after Friday - but never mind. Family chose to queue in the rain at the Prado to look at some other Spanish Masters on Sunday. On this occasion, at least, Goya and Velasquez were more viewable than Garcia...
