Hey Shaggy how are you getting on?

I sympathize with you. I've worked with my fair share of shady small time business owners and understand the grief of dealing with their underhand methods. Working for a largle multi national can be stifling, but it's relatively secure and they are on the ball with keeping things regulated and in order.

It's been really nice today.

Didn't have to get up early. Jnr slept in until 7:20 which was a nice change. Phoned up to sign on. Registered with a couple of agencies. No-one phoned up chasing money. Still feel an immense sense of freedom. I know that I need to get a job, but for the time-being, just enjoying the chance to do nothing.

That's the thing about large multi-national companies. It's some-one else's job to worry about paying the bills, and you're unlikely to go past your credit limit without paying what you owe. Also, there's less opportunity for "under-hand" practices to go on, since there's more people around, and it doesn't tend to be just one guy making all the decisions.

Don't know what suddenly made me think of this, but from time to time, things wander across my mind.

Just done a check on my old company & they've gone into administration. Can't say I'm surprised really. Didn't file any accounts, and from what I could find out doing the various 'free searches' lying around the interweb, it looks like they didn't do very much after my departure. Perhaps I ought to do I director's search to see what the old boss is doing nowadays.

Current boss is much more agreeable. Known him for about 12 years. Keyboard player to my bass-playing in our part-time band.

Not a problem any more.

Must be a great feeling being able to look back now and realise you did the right thing. At least this wasn't your mess and you've now found an organisation who fully appreciate (well I'm guessing they do) the skills you are able to bring to the job.

Nice one
