It's been really nice today.
Didn't have to get up early. Jnr slept in until 7:20 which was a nice change. Phoned up to sign on. Registered with a couple of agencies. No-one phoned up chasing money. Still feel an immense sense of freedom. I know that I need to get a job, but for the time-being, just enjoying the chance to do nothing.

I sympathize with you. I've worked with my fair share of shady small time business owners and understand the grief of dealing with their underhand methods. Working for a largle multi national can be stifling, but it's relatively secure and they are on the ball with keeping things regulated and in order.
That's the thing about large multi-national companies. It's some-one else's job to worry about paying the bills, and you're unlikely to go past your credit limit without paying what you owe. Also, there's less opportunity for "under-hand" practices to go on, since there's more people around, and it doesn't tend to be just one guy making all the decisions.
