Mrs S and I are planning a holiday in May. In the past we've either had a complete relaxing holiday, chilling by a pool or we've done more of an adventure holiday. This time round we're thinking of mixing it up.

We want to maybe not a 10 day holiday with 3/4 days doing a walking/cycle holiday (not too many hills!), 3/4 days cookery course and 3/4 days by a beach. Think we've decided that being May, Portugal might give us some nice weather, alternatively Spain. However, we've no idea where to start looking for these types of holidays.

Anyone done anything similar (the events we have chosen are definitely changeable, in case Sted has a cardiac reading about a man doing a cookery course!)

I'd DIY it - book some cheap flights, Sierra Nevada national park for some cycling / walking, into Andalucia for cooking (could do some horse riding while you're there?) and then your pick of beaches on the Southern coast for the last few days.

Much more satisfying putting it together yourself.
