I'm doing well (865 points & about 730th position). I'm pretty confident of winning my mini league (100points ahead). I don't think I can get anywhere near the top places w/o a cutting edge.

So... (deep breath) are these transfers suicide?

Robinson
Lescott
R Ferdinand
Carragher
Eboue
Ronaldo
Gerrard
Jenas
Henry (tr4 Drogba)
Agbonlahor (tr4 Tevez)
McCarthy (tr4 Ashton)

I can imagine Ashton galvanising the team, getting them outta trouble and the sun falling all over themselves to give these two points because they are both part of the Suns running stories (Tevez transfer generally, and Ashton for england)

Running smoothly so far.

I would think that keeping Henry could be in your favour. I would imagine a lot of people would also possibly be deciding to get rid of Henry giving you that advantage when he hits form.

Of course everyone else may be thinking the same!!!

Getting rid of Henry is fine but bringing in tevez and ashton is way too much of a gamble imo, especially for bargain abonglahor ... and when you have a dud like jenas in there ... maybe henry for drogba and use the funds to upgrade jenas to lampard while swapping carra for agger

Too risky...both Tevez and Deano are playing better "in the hole" behind a recognized striker (D. Bent ???) and i can't see both of them in the team.
Also, Ashton will be immediately the same player after such a terrible injury or he'll need a few weeks into the new year ?

In transfer window one I swapped Defoe for McCarthy, Howard for Robinson and Bentley for Agbonlahor.

I think I'll retain a final decision until the transfer windows gets under way.

I notice that the significant majority of the teams in the top twenty don't have Henry, so I might keep him and hope this provide the cutting edge, whilst swapping Carra for Agger, McCarthy for Ashton and Agbonlahor for Diouf (great value at 2m and expect FatSams team to have a cup run.

Thanks for the input though guys...

FS Record: Weekend Dreamteam Winner/WC Fantasy Stakes winner.
How about Essien for Jenas, Drogba for Henry and Martins for Agbonlahor?
McCarthy is looking relatively solid and Blackburn are still involved in Uefa Cup.

Even as a Hammers fan I would be wary of bringing in two of their strikers.

If we keep Tevez and Curbs keeps faith with him then he will be a good risk.

Ashton is a class player but I wouldn't expect him to be fully fiot or at his best untl March
