Like many other games organisers they haven't thought this through. Bloggies suggestion is far better than what Sky are actually doing but even that is not optimum, as managers doing well would be loathe to use five transfers in a one week lottery, even if they have five avaiable in a team with no current injuries. In practice most teams probably have 2 or 3 transfers remaining and at least one injured player, typically Fabregas.
If they were going to have occasional high weekly prizes this should have been stated from the start so that entrants could have planned for it. How about the Premiership deciding last week that points from this weeks games alone will be doubled. OK a pretty stupid analogy but no more stupid than the actions of the Sky geniuses who have moved the goalposts mid competition.
Its fair enough for them to want to encourage more entrants but do it in a thougtful way (OK that might be an oxxymoron when dealing with "hype everything" Sky). This might have involved allowing all existing competitors to enter another team from this week, after all by now its highly unlikely that any team entered now could win the seasonal comp. As others have implied, its just another invitation for those FF managers who are happy to "bend" rules to enter another team in someones name who knows nothing about football.
So what are the odds that this is won by a girlfriend/dog, (one and the same thing?

), who has just created their first ever Sky identity?
