Go to the following page:

http://trendygolfblog.wordpress.com/

Email them and with a bit of luck you'll get a £5 off code (all the free ones have gone :( ).

Wish I'd found this sooner

Any chance of back-dating them Mr G?

Either way it's worth joining their F&E League, as there are prizes to be had :D

Top marks to TrendyGolf!

First time there's ever been voucher codes as far as I can remember, so good on TrendyGolf, that's what I say.

OFL will still get their £15 (from TrendyGolf), so nowt to do with them really.

Sorry I didn't find it early enough for you Paddy, but hopefully will help some.

I can confirm that once you've got them, the codes work :)

I personally dont see it very likely that trendy pay full redemption - it is the fact that there is a code that mivves me full stop when there hasnt been one previously

Fiso is a members site - not an advertising opportunity that means you selectively share info (Not directed to you - thank you lots for flagging)

My feelings will be sent direct to OFL and most likely charlie double barrel d88k wad :0)

Might as well disband all the mini leagues with no prizes and join the trendy one where you can win prizes seeing as OFL dont have a prize league!

Only one team per person allowed in the Trendy F&E League, so don't go disbanding just yet :)

Sorry to be anal, but a free entry is worth three times the discount on offer here, rather than a third of it. I'd be more glad of a free entry than nothing at all.

I was working on the assumption that if you enter 10 teams and can get the discount code for each then you would save £50. No need to be sorry for being anal - clearly missed the whole sentiment behind the frustration!

And you weren't sorry about being anal- you were simply being anal

You're right, I wasn't sorry for being anal. I was being polite rather than suggesting you stop moaning and always being so critical. If you don't like it, don't play. Easy.

As for always critical- u always argue the toss with me- ofl has never given discounts b4 - so being annoyed when u have just laid out 120 quid isn't being excessively critical -

Never given discounts before that we are aware of, paddy. There has always been a promotional code box, and that has been implemented for a reason, surely?

Wouldn't the code just give you £5 off one team, not £5 off every team?

Once it's used it can't be used again surely?

hiya - yes prob so - the point was meant less specifically really around FREE entries and then discounted ones being available .

I am upset that El Papp thinks I am an old moaner and will take that on board - but I would really have hoped that this offer would have been more out there than it was.

The point of the Free entry is diminished when you consider that by simply sending a note to Trendygolf that you could have achieved the same.

ie finish 4th-20th this year and get a prize akin to sending an email at the right time??

Put to bed now -I need to make my peace with El papp and move on

Shocking start with my teams - Quiros in none of 8 and Mcilroy in 1 added at the last minute which also has Streelamn in (also added as not in any teams)

I got an email from TrendyGolf detailing the offer.

They would obviously want to target current customers and potential ones with the promotion, rather than just people who wanted a cheap OFL entry!

They quite rightly identified me as a mega cool and trendy golfer, unlike you lot of scruffy hackers :P

Lesson learnt to check out the prize-givers websites each year I guess, just in case  .

Either that or make sure you have half a dozen teams in the top 20

Pads - I'm always wary of the dangers of not seeing the written word how it was intended, but it doesn't stop me wading in now and again.

You've noticed ( ) I have criticised you on occasions - being honest (not polite or anal) I do think you sometimes come on and vent frustrations on here in knee-jerk fashion, when maybe you could seek an explanation first.

Would I have liked a free entry to OFL? Certainly? A fiver off? That'll do fine, too. Would not getting it have stopped me entering my teams this year - no. Would I have liked a free entry for finishing 20th last year rather than bigger all for finishing 4th 2 years ago - definitely!

Basically I'm saying that you come across as very critical of OFL (and by extension Mr. Green, who gives to FISO a lot more than he needs to) when it doesn't seem justified. Consumers pay different prices for goods in all sorts of markets....being aware or not or a trendygolf offer is just one of those things. If we were really upset, we'd pull out of playing.

Anyway, I refused to enter another team to cover McIlroy, Furyk and others so I'm looking forward to a bad start. I liked the test update where Nowt so Quiros Folk was about 20th

And yes, I did select Yang for my RTD team - and the decide to go with Stenson instead       End the bromance, you muppet Papp!!!!

Fair enough El Papp

Dont agree and dont think we will. Easy to make yourself unpopular clerrly within fiso when not complying to unwritten rules. I have a flip view on this which says that we are more garded in our views of OFL as a consequence of a relationship with Matt. It is where the grey area of Fiso member and employee of a fantasy organising team comes in. Under the Fiso guise then OFL could have flagged the offer whereas under employee then you wouldnt????

Example of lambasting OFL
OFL taking 10 mths to pay a prize isnt really being over critical nor is it directed at Matt - why not remove the person from the problem rather than as you indicate, suggest that it is an attack on Matt. Not in the slightest - Matt is an excellent bloke who can and does fight his own battles. Not really over critical - it would have 20 pages on it if it were Silent Manager!

It wasnt knee jerk - it seems that people think that after a re-read my view may change - not in the slightest. The intimation that it may be knee jerk and need explanation suggests I may not be the deepest thinker.........no comment

As for not entering another team - now that was probably a good move as opposed to my knee jerk last minute decision to do so. I still didnt have Day nor Quiros in one. Shocking

Good luck on you r picks - I think I will withdraw from future Fiso functions and revert to only posting until that is unacceptible
