Thought I would start this up as I have a team in 9th & 17th, although the team in 17th has no transfers left as it was in with a shout of the Feb monthly.

Looks like Zoran has a very strong hand with a number of prominent teams.

Very strange why he did not enter at season start unless he was unable to.
I know he entered the world cup YTM which I could not.

Zoran still leading the way, and a healty gap at the top. Have been trying to work out his top team and have come to the conclusion that he has:
Hart
Kolorov
Luiz
Terry
Craddock
Nani
VDV
Etherington
Hernadez
Walters
RVP

Not very good at trying to suss out teams, Anyone care to correct me

Zoran still holding a healthy lead over my 3rd place team.

If I have worked out his team correctly I need Man City to show their defensive frailties over the next few weeks. I'm guessing/hoping, that he may have used most of his reamaining transfers last week.

Anyone else in with shout?

Not a great day for Zoran. I think this is now his team, and hoping he is out of transfers

Hart
Kompany
Kolorov
Huth
Luiz
VDV
Lampard
Nani
Drogba
Hernandez
RVP

Interesting, that's only 2 players different from my best seasonal team (currently in 77th and 275th in the 2h), although I'm not out of transfers (and, I think, it would be dangerous to assume anyone else is - particularly 2h teams).

I have Baines, rather than Luiz, and changed Nani for YYT this week as predications are for Nani to be benched against Chelsea and it's a 2 game week for City.

I guess Zoran will be hoping that the league title race is still wide open after this weekend - although there may be more chances of Nani playing once the title is wrapped up. Might really suit those of us with Drogba, Lampard and Hernandez if it's a goal difference shoot-out for the Premiership.

Nice to see another post on here Peter, was beginning to think that I would be replying to my own posts until the end of the season.

Think you are right that a player of Zoran's ability will still have a few tricks left up his sleve, but if I have worked out his team correctly I would have thought he would have subbed in Ya Ya or Silva for the double game week.

What about Zoran's 2nd placed team, Gary?...but, assuming that you have transfers left, you've obviously got a chance of making up those 31 points on the top team. Bet that you've got Baines!

Good luck :) - nothing against Zoran (it was pleasing to see him in 2h after his surprising no-show in August), but I think that he's already won his fair share from YTM.

It was hard enough trying to work out his top team, never mind his second placed team.

I do think that he is Man U heavy in defence though.

Obviously Baines is one of my favourites, however with Evertons last 3 including City & Chelsea is he still there, think I'll let Zoran work that out :)

Just noticed that the Spurs Blackpool point were updated a bit later, so has revealed that VDV is very prominent in the top 10, and is also in Zorans second team.

Also means I have got his team slightly wrong as he picked up 2 points from the ealier games. So possibly he may have brought in, Dzeko with the additional games for City, but not a definate starter, Bent, tough last 2 games or Sturridge :?:

Big points scored from the teams in now in = 3 due to city's clean sheet tonight.

Looks as though Zoran's top team is without Kompany :?:

City's second clean sheet in a row has put paid to my chances, looks as though it may be a tight finish, a city clean sheet against stoke could see Zoran knocked off his pearch.

Good luck to all, as my chance has now gone

A City c/s on Tuesday and Mr Babinbridge will start getting excited I imagine.
Assuming Zoran has Hernandez and possibly Nani it could get even more interesting. Some of those United players will be getting a rest in advance of the Champ league final. Berb could be a good shout next Saturday if you still have powder to burn.

I think you are right Nabby, Mr Bainbridge has closed the gap due to city's clean sheets and now might be the slight favourite, think Zoran is out of transfers in his top team and i'm sure he has Hernandez, but I also think so do most of the others.

Scores are up.
Zoran hanging in there.
Amazing really - My best placed team is up to 11th in the 2nd half comp, 5th for the month (3rd for the week  ). Only 2 weeks ago it was outside top 60 and 100 points behind. Today it is 11th and 54 points. too much to make up , but shows what big swings can occur in a short space.
Shame there is no monthly in May.

Good luck Gary - I see you had a good day today.

Thanks Nabby, good day today but too much to make up, my problem is that I have been out of Transfers for about 5 weeks and have been running on empty. No city coverage has really cost me, if I had have had 3/4 transfers more going back a few weeks I would have fancied my chances, but most could probably say that as well.

Was the same last year in the main comp, when I had used all my transfers by the start of January, and started to challenge but faded to 49th.

Gotta learn to sit tight and not get itchy fingers. Presume you have a lot of City defenders Nabby so you may close the gap a bit more on Tuesday.

Yes - City do feature.

I've enjoyed the YTM comp, having only really started playing In January. I entered 4 specifically aimed at this comp - wish i'd added a few more, but wasn't too sure about a game where you could only make transfers once a week. As it happens I've quite enjoyed it. :)

Not much activity on here so not sure if Mr Bainbridge or Mr Nevard are posters but good luck to both of you and also Zoran on the last day.
Not sure what position you are in Nabby but good luck to you as well, although guess you are too far behind.

up to 6th Gary, but 37 points off and I reckon only 3 players different between me and Mr Bainbridge. One transfer left to get shot of VdV by the look of it, but in reality I'd need 5 transfers and a switch to a non city block to have any chance. Probably did waste that many transfers along the way.
This team actually came joint 1st for the week
It's given me something to think about for next season - I haven't typically played YTM but a strong finish here and a share of the March Motm 1st prize has made it quite enjoyable (and profitble :) ). I only entered motm for first time in Feb because I was no longer eligible to win the Telegraph motm, and I was doing so bad in their overall comp I needed something to do. Happy days.
Good luck to Zoran, he is realistically the only Fiso name (I recognise) in with a realistic chance in this comp, but another City cleano and I fear Bainbridge is home and hosed..

Good luck Phil, Looks as though you have adapted well to YTM in a short time, what about an Osman Hatrick to seal the win for you with your last transfer

YTM is my favourite game, although I do enter a few team in all games, would like to see all comps revert to a max of 2/3 players from each team which I think would aid non multi players, but do enjoy the challenge of trying to beat them.
