Everyone else finishes with over par scores, led by BigJonS with +3.
El Tel, +4, pips Shafty1 for third place on the ratings tiebreak.
Megadyl, Toffeelover, Trotter & padmole also end up on single figures.
And bigH, +14, and workie-ticket, +15, complete the top ten.

The potential for the leaders to lose ground and the chasers to gain ground left the result in doubt right up to the end.

Any credit (or boos) for the idea should go to Spencer4 who has run a Fiso US Masters competition in seasons past. He asks us to select four golfers and allows daily transfers: fiso-fantasy-masters-2011-rules-and-player-lists-t84434.html

Some feedback from an organisation viewpoint:

- running golf game alongside start of Premier League season proved onerous as FF chairman's duties and team selection took precedence; may email USPGA and invite them to switch event date next year

- one tweak might be to ask for five selections: a compromise between Spencer4's four and the format above

- golfer's rating is based on betting odds for event; hence anyone above 200/1 is rated as zero = 96 in US PGA and 85 in The Open game last month; this may be too many but not sure of best solution (bearing in mind some of us can't add up to 19)

- also need to hone Excel skills to speed up table-setting and score calculation (since retirement from gainful employment in 2002, spreadsheet use - and perhaps, grey cells - seem to have become moribund)

Other thoughts on contest are always welcome.

If time allows, the Fiso competition may return for one or more of these key end-season tournaments:

Sep 22 - US Tour Championship
Nov 03 - WGC HSBC Champions
Dec 08 - Dubai World Championship

Re 2012: Spencer4 has organised the US Masters fantasy golf contest on FISO in recent years.

If time allows, shall run competition covering the subsequent big tournaments like the other Majors, WGC & Dubai events.
