As it happens I have a spare $25

First win of the fantasy golf season for me :D and probably the last!

Have to be the FedEx Cup competition Exeter, as all the others have started :( .

Unlucky Peoples, I had exactly the same choice as you re. bringing in Day on a Mulligan. I dropped Mahan, not Crane, otherwise I'd have come 4th not 2nd - phew!

Congratulations on your League 1 Session 5 win Shaun, I'm sure it won't be your last :)

I won three Session prizes this week so a good FISO week all round

Cheers Colin

Exeter, FedEx Cup and Fall Series are both now open, assuming you can wait! No doubt John will send a link in due course.

Well done Toffee and MU#1 - both well deserved winners in your sessions.

OK then - if FedEx Cup league entry is the next available, count me in and I suggest we try to recruit proper numbers of others on here as the time approaches.

Nice one Colin, though a tad unlucky as you were only $19,397 off top spot :(

I was $2,817,988 behind the winner  which equated to having Tim Clark as a starter in the Players

Well played Colin, up to second in League 1.

Only £1½m behind, good luck for the final 3 weeks :D

Thanks Toffee,

No Mulligans left in League 1 so I really need some good picks / Sat subs for the last few weeks (especially the US Open which will probably be decisive).

I also have teams third in League 2, second in League 3 and second in League 4 so hopefully one of those will pull through for me.

Cheers

Picked up ground on the League 1 leader with Rose as my Saturday Sub and now only $452k behind.

Have picked twelve winners in 22 tournaments, if I can make that 14 could be quite close to the $500 top prize 8-)

Still in second place in League 1 but now only $47k behind going into the US Open final week.

Gutted that Karlsson didn't win the playoff, he was my Saturday Sub and would have put me ~$450k into the lead if he had won

After 23 weeks I now have very limited selection options, just have to hope I get lucky with one of them :D

Nicely done Colin, nothing in it now.

Guy in third could still be in with a shout too, as he could save his 2 mulligans for a final round "bring the leader in" strategy.

Good luck Colin, you have really reeled Scott in over the last month. I share your Karlsson frustration as I had him as a starter in League 2.

Scott has no mulligans either and I agree with Toffeelover that your biggest threat may come from behind rather than in front (but not I fear as far back as 9th).

The decision is whether you play the mulligan from the off (e.g. Mickelson who all top 10 have already used up twice) hoping to pick double-point winner or save it to final round.

Of the ones in the hunt
Leader can realsitically play Woods, Casey, Harrington, McIlroy & Donald
Second place can play Woods, Westwood, Poulter, Harrington & McIlroy
Third place is in trouble having used up all his mulligans and with exception of Donald used up all realsitic World Top 20 players
Peoples can play Woods, Westwood, Harrington & McIlroy
5th can play Poulter, Casey, Harrington, Ogilvy, Goosen & Donald
I can play Woods, Casey, Goosen
7th can play Casey, McIlroy & Clark

8-10 are struggling, no mulligans, no Top 20 players in any form to play (will need to get lucky on lesser ranked players)

All players though could play Top 20 players Stenson, Kaymer, Schwartzel, Cink & Yang though

Personally I would go with the mulligan from the off, given that double money on Mickelson / Westwood / Donald etc may be a better option than single money on a Sat third pick or final round pick. Use your mulligans early and then you don't have the stress of when to use them on the final event :P

I still think you have a chance Colin simply because I reckon the three players you choose will be different from the leaders & in a major any of the likes of Yang could suddenly find some form & win.

I did take a look at who the guys ahead of me still have left to pick & the guy in second has me covered with Woods, Westwood, Harrington & McIlroy left along with a Mulligan. The current leader is also only missing Westwood so catching them will be difficult.

I considered using a Mulligan from the off & may take that approach rather than wait for the final round as the difference is only $540,000 between first & second so even if I went for somebody else that still wouldn't be enough.

Here's whom they went for in League 1:

1) 19th Hole Casey Clark Donald
2) Man United's #2 Fan Clark McDowell Van Pelt
3) Ajmil Donald Mickelson Woods
4) Tiger62 Clark Johnson, D Ogilvy
5) Don-O-Van 2 Donald Mickelson Woods
6) South Side 409 Baddeley Donald Garcia
7) Gamebreakers Donald Mickelson Westwood
8) J. B. Garcia Mickelson Woods
9) Horton Mumblemouse Harrington Mickelson Woods
10) Korn Man Crane Leishman Sim

McDowell or Van Pelt win would see me home :D , a more likely Donald or Mickelson win would see me tumble down the standings :(

Good luck Horton, think you need Paddy to pull off a surprise win :)

Can't find final round tee times but Sky's coverage does not finish until 2am Monday morning. Looks like the back 9 will be playes out during evening prime time on the East coast but for us I guess they will probably tee off 8.45/9pm.

Interesting to see if 19th Hole covers me by bringing in McDowell :?

Guess I should sub Van Pelt but have limited options of whom to bring in (Ishikawa, Kelly, Cejka etc.).

Either way I basically just need McDowell to finish ahead of Mickelson and Casey

Great night for Graeme McDowell and European golf, well worth staying up to nearly 2.30am for (with $600 on the line I could hardly go to sleep early!).

McDowell's long game was virtually flawless which was just as well as his putting was not as good as the first three days. Els must have been gutted to have missed so many makeable putts coming home.

With six weeks left to play I was in 4th position with no Mulligans left, guess I just got lucky :D

Congratulations on your 8th place Horton and golf shirt prize.

Colin that was an awesome pick! Congratulations on a brilliant campaign, I don't know how far ahead Scott was with a month or so to go but what a top effort to pass him.

Will wear my shirt with pride thanks guys......thought I had blown it after I declined to sub McDowell for Harrington!

League 2 looks a bit tasty, do you fancy the double!

Hi Horton,

Yes League 2 is looking quite promising for both of us:

1st Game Andrew Miller $29,998,158 5 Mulligans used
2nd Man United's #2 Fan Colin Robertson $29,454,402 6 Mulligans used
3rd Deadeyeduck Jerry Duckworth $29,162,694 6 Mulligans used
4th Horton Mumblemouse James Lewis $28,996,720 5 Mulligans used

Andrew Miller won League 2 last season so will no doubt be keen to do a double of his own!

Difficult selections this week for the AT & T :?

Woods and Furyk are the stand out picks, however I suspect most will save both of them (well Woods at least!) for St Andrews. Allenby has been ill / injured and Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose now both have last round collapses to put behind them.

I suspect many will hope Verplank's form continues for another week and pick two from Day, Fowler, Van Pelt, Moore, Barnes, etc.

mmmm...

Furyk and Dustin used up by top 4. Deadeye Duck and Game have a spare Tiger and will surely keep him for St Andrews. I will use my mulligan on Tiger, Lee or Phil at St Andrews (barring exceptional circumstances)....got a couple of decent Europeans I am saving to partner them. Expecting, in fact rather hoping for, a poor field next week so the fact that I do not have many big names left to pick will not really matter.

I'd add O'Hair to the list of potential picks this week.

Exciting times......and 18th in OFL as well which is comfortably a Horton PB :|
