Carnage for my lot last night:

Oot:
S Hansen
E Molinari
Karlsson
Jaidee

In:
Donald
Davies
Jimenez
Quiros

Not really convinced of the likelihood of either of the latter 2 still being there come the end but the need to cover bases at the expense of various Scandinavian muppets took priority.

first time ive played this and still not quite got my head around this game :)

I'm currently 133rd with 14 out of the top 15 in my team (odd one out being I have harrington instead of quiros). That seems respectable enough, but due to jumping on many of the bandwagons late, I still find myself nearly 3 million euros behind the leader!

I just cant see how you can make inroads on a lead like that at this late stage

Do I just sit it out, hope Paddy replaces quiros and see where that leaves me? or are there drastic gambles that can be made at this stage to make a difference, ie dropping players on the fringes of the top 15 and picking a few wildcards?

By the way jn77, Pa put up a prize for the FISO mini-league, which therefore had a closing date for entries of 12 midnight on the 11th December.

So alas you missed the deadline by the small matter of about 8 months

Watch out for the new and improved version of this competition coming up in a few months. You never know, there may even be a prize for the top mini-league :)

BREAKING NEWS: The Fantasy Race to Dubai will revert to a more traditional mechanic in 2011 (still based on money, not points), with the first counting event being in Abu Dhabi in mid-January!

If you haven't already set one up, you'll need a "My European Tour" login to play next year's game:

Full details will be available in late November.

Yes, the game in its current format is all about "ifs"...and I suspect there's still at least one major twist (as per Ross McGowan in 2009) to come.

I didnt listen :P

I looked at a few of the teams at the top and they all had harrington anyway, so decided to go for broke

Out - Fisher - In - F Andersson Hed
Out - Harrington - In - Richard Green

One move has potential if F A Hed can build on his good start, other move gone belly up already with Greens withdrawal !
