Back to the straight Carr, being very unfunny, as well as Brooker. Very embarassing, and will be cut soon.

Not watched because of the talentless Laverne woman. Assume she was as appaling as usual.

On the plus side they did say why Johnson had resigned, and it would appear to be "personal reasons"

I thought it was OK when it wasn't trying to be serious.

How can you have serious political discussion with proper guests if it is being hosted by David Mitchell in front of a baying crowd? can't imagine political heavyweights queueing up to be on it, we'll soon be just getting Lembit Opik.

Also Jimmy Carr was quite good but is hardly known for his political insight so is a weird choice.

Laverne was quite good as a sort of magazine anchor for the show and Charlie Brooker did what he does but they need to get their focus together and work out whether it is a comedy or a serious programme. They could mix it if they had a mini-Paxman on the team to do the more serious aspects with Laverne and a couple of comics rather than just 3 comics.

Can't really comment as I didn't watch it.

The concept has potential but needs significant jiggling....

Andrew Marr would be great on it

I thought Mitchell was quite good, in making serious points with a sense of the ridiculous, "When are the Banks going to give us our money back?"

The whole program was reminiscent of the first adult Tiswas, whatever that was called.

Mitchell played to the crowd well but that doesn't exactly help making the serious political spot.

Andrew Marr might be too serious but they need someone with his gravitas to stop it becoming just another comedy show.

A couple of Spitting Images sketches would be great too

Marr would fall into the "I can't ask that question" Trap. Politicians get far too easy a ride, maybe because they will refuse to go on a program again if they asked awkward questions?

Fair cop, Brooker very funny on Egypt, and the quotes of Mubarak living in "denial" were gloriously childishly funny.

Thought it was a good show tonight. Even the science bit sort of worked. Still couldn't give a toss about forests though ;-)

If I didn't work evenings then I'd watch it every week. Has potential for sure, they don't want to lose that edge though, it's hard for politicians to back away from this as well as they'd be accused of ignoring the youth vote.

agree with Tac

this show has grown on me. i still don't think it's as funny as it wants to be, but it's a good watch

Peep Show geek's spot is probably my fav, but others have their moments.

apart from Laverne or however you spell it. i'll not be turning in my grave if i miss anything she has to say...
