Only an hour to go, and I've not replaced Rooney yet. With RVP due back after the internationals I'm looking for someone with a tasty home game this weekend for a goal glut.

I'm thinking either Torres or Keane, home to Fulham and Wigan respectively. Biggest drawback is I'm not sure whether either of them will actually start!

Any thoughts appreciated (and needed!!) before 11.30am please

i was in the same position, i got adebayor instead of him, however i was considerin torres cos i already had keane, and chose to go agenst torres because he cant be long term due to rotation. basically i think keane is your man. ramos i think only rested him. but then again since you said one week only torres could prove to be the best option as he is terrific at home. i say go with your gut feelin, i believe both will do well :D

Cheers. I'm also starting to lean towards Keane, Fulham have only conceded 6 goals away from home compared to Wigans 13, and Keanes substitution on Thursday looks like a 'games won, lets rest the star striker' kinda sub to me.

I think I just like the idea of having Torres, even if it is only short-term, rather than the slightly more logical choice.

Keane. He's my captain this week and I reckon he will destroy Wigan.

There's no easy choice this week but, in CYKI, I've moved to Adebayor.

RE are conceding frequently. He has a 2xgw coming up. RVP may not recover in time - you never know - and AR face WI (h) next, then their double.

You can move him out for RVP later if you want, but he's a sure-fire starter now, which your others aren't, with 3 good gws ahead - and he plays better with RVP, so if you get burned in the Ints with injuries to others you won't feel so obliged to shift him out in GW14 if RVP is fit.

I totally agree with that, normally I'd choose based on that kind of solid reasoning.

Unfortunately, I'm playing a works cup comp over (hopefully) the next 4 or 5 games, and my 1st round is against a team with Adebayor and Tevez.

Also, I'm taking a 4 point hit to move out Rooney after a budget-related transfer earlier in the week so means I'm looking to outscore either Tevez or Adebayor if possible.

(didn't want to put the whole story up when starting the thread as it makes it far to long and boring!)

Both have just as much chance to start as each other imo, so out of them two I'd say Torres.

I went for Torres to replace Rooney. Probably shift him out for RVP after the break
