I'm struggling to find any player that's worth me bringing in, that won't upset any profit I have tied in, resulting in the player costing a lot more to bring back. I'll WC next Tuesday, so it's only needed to be for GW23.

Vorm / Krul (undecided yet)
BAE Brown Jones
Bale(c) Valencia Silva Sessegnon
Adebayor RVP Sturridge

Subs: Enrique Simpson Walters

Bank 0.7

Thoughts:
Jones is supposedly odds on to be fine for the game vs Stoke. With BAE and Brown it's a solid back 3, and Enrique away to Wolves isn't the worst fixture should he come off the bench.

However, I could transfer Enrique out for a 1 GW defender who will make it into my back 3.
He's my 1st sub and Liverpool's fixtures turn from GW25:
SPURS Man United EVERTON ARSENAL Sunderland

If Liverpool win tonight, then their game in GW26 will be postponed - possibly until midweek after, but it's not certain they will have a GW26.

Happy with the midfield. I don't think you can really trump it unless it's Dempsey and that's debatable with Walters' home games coming up.

Ade can't be dropped for this GW and RVP speaks for himself. Sturridge is my only Chelsea attacking coverage and don't see Mata as being good enough value.

I would keep an eye on Chelsea's transfer activity

Obviously wait until Tuesday morning until deciding as things like this can sort themselves out. There's worse things than doing no transfer anyway. However, I would change one of Krul/Vorm - don't think you need this kind of coverage in that area come WC time. Unfortunately not sure which you should keep! Also are you planning to keep Sturridge: if not Swansea away is very tough; perhaps consider Keane/Welbeck for the one game?

The problem with Sturridge is that he plays for Chelsea and is, IMO, the best pick for his price. I've never come close to even thinking of getting Torres as IMO he's never been the same since the latter stages of his Liverpool career and can't see him ever being the same player again - certainly not worth his price in FPL that's for certain sure.
Mata is also not worth his price. Ramires is the 2nd player I'd consider if I didn't have Sturridge, but not sure how nailed on he is.

With regards to goalkeepers it's likely I'll keep both. I've taken into account the profit I can make, but still not yet convinced there's a better pairing even for that money. Vorm/Lindergaard pairing looks semi-tempting.

I'd also bring in Welbeck for Sturridge for this one game. Swansea have a good home record and Sturridge will probably be playing in a wide position again, as at Norwich, where he's not as effective as down the middle. It will mean that you have 6 of your team from either Spurs or Utd though, but considering the fixtures this GW, I would do it. I'd probably pick Vorm in goal as I can see Blackburn's revival continuing against Newcastle after the Fulham result at the weekend.

But then that would mean I'd have to pay 0.5 more if I wanted to bring Sturridge back in.
0.5 is quite a chunk to shell out on getting a player back in after just 1 GW.

I didn't know that, I agree it's too much to shell out for just 1 GW. In that case, I would'nt bother doing any transfers as the side looks good enough considering the GW fixtures.

That is one transfer I've had in mind, especially as I don't think I'll be going with Dempsey and Fulham have a very nice overall run, especially at home:
WBA Man City STOKE qpr WOLVES Villa SWANSEA Man United NORWICH

For his price he can be justifiably benched for some games, vs Dempsey who costs too much to not pick every week.

The downside to this is a risk going without any Chelsea mid/att but you sometimes have to speculate to accumulate.

Thanks all so far for your suggestions, it's certainly food for thought.

Sturridge > Zamora
Vorm > Mignolet

are looking like the 2 I'm considering as things stand.

Well, he has scored 9 goals from that position this season. He hasn't yet since his injury, though, and Malouda seems to be getting a sniff of the first team again - those would be my fears if I still had Sturridge. He will surely get plenty more chances though because AVB really likes him.
You are right about Swansea away, but with how the teams should set up I personally expect something similar to the Arsenal game with a goal each or more. Still, certainly not the best fixture.

@King Cabbage - upon seeing the thread title I was going to suggest Bellamy. I got him in for Adebayor last week, has paid off with 8pts v Bolton, tonight looked great and scored again, also Kenny went on about needing to manage him carefully so after 2 games in 4 days he should be rested on saturday and fresh for Wolves in midweek. then come the tough fixtures and suarez returns, so a perfect one week punt. Liverpool have mostly had problems with weaker sides at home, not away, the bolton fiasco aside but can you see it happening twice in a row? I certainly like those odds better than hoping Zamora gets the one goal Fulham will score against West Brom. :) but looking at the long run Zamora is probably better.

Bellamy looks a very good shout to be honest.

The plus with Zamora is that any price rises will stick, as I'm more likely to keep him. Plus, if Dempsey does something, then Zamora is likely to get something too.

Sturridge  Bellamy, Zamora, Keane, Welbeck all look good options.

I would not keep Jones even if SAF stated he would retire, sell all his possessions and move to Tibet to join a monastery. He has scored 8 points in the last 8 GWs and lost a lot of his luster when he was moved out of MF.

I also think Belamy at Wolves is a good shout over Sturridge. I expect Sinclairs runs forward might keep Sturridge from playing as high up the pitch as normal. Plus Chelsea looks like garbage most of the time. Of course I say this and AVB will start him in the middle instead of Torres and he will get a hat trick!
