Here's the Mini-League Spreadsheet, for this season.

Download Here

The Team Selector Spreadsheet is also available.

Download Here

For those who use the ML spreadsheet, it is exactly the same as last seasons, but with the addional TW added. It's currently set up for 60 teams, but with a little Excel knowledge, most will be able to add additional teams. There is a sheet with Instructions, for those who haven't used it before. Also, at the TW's I'll provide an updated Players sheet, for download.

I'm away at the weekend, without internet access, so don't expect any replies on any errors until Monday.

Enjoy.
Andy

Top work Andy but I couldn't help but mess with it.

I noticed that the Selection by drop down tab was missing some of the recently added players. 999 Doyle for instance.
I've changed that on the attached and also tinkered with the drop downs so they only (hopefully) show valid selection options (no duplicates and no players that will bust the budget).

One final thing was that some of the formulae seemed to depend on forward codes remaining below 1000. Given that Doyle is 999 I thought I'd tweak it to 1100.

I'm really hoping that my tinkering doesn't break the spreadsheet (my knowledge of macros and queries is limited).

I wouldnt imagine they will go beyond 999.

The players arent added numerically (i.e. the next guy wont be 1000).
There are gaps in the numbering to accomodate the new players.

I would "guess" their system is set up only for 3 digit codes. Someone more technical than me could perhaps confirm, but wouldnt all the others need their codes amending to include a leading 0 (if we got a 4 digit coded feller)?

You're probably correct. Doyle being on 999 just got me jumpy

I want the Dingles to sign another forward now just to see what happens

The Dingles will need to sign someone as that 999 was for the ambulance to take Doyle to the hospital  , Zim's right though there are gaps in between all teams and positions to slot in the new players, although they will probably do this when all the free transfers have finished, more cash for the coffers

Andi,

Is it possible to add a sheet showing the weekly scores of each player in all teams throughout the whole season. Very useful if the mini league is having a weekly prize and as a record of points scored each week?

Thanks Gav

Andi,

This is a superb piece of work thanks for posting it.

I have very limited knowledge of excel, I would be grateful if someone could tell me how
to add teams.

I've tried copying and pasting with limited success.

Thanks in advance.

Which sheet are you using?

If the mini league sheet (from memory), you just type in the 3 digit code of the player you want (in the first column) and it automatically populates with the relevant details.

If the other sheet (team selector), I think you can choose the name from a drop down (like you would on the their site)

Thanks for the reply.

It is the mini league one.

I understand how to add players to the teams, however the teams only go up to 60. How do I add Team 61, Team 62 etc?

I've tried copying and pasting, however I seem to lose functionality in the meague tab (positioning doesn't move up and down) and some of the figures (formulations) don't add up.

I have amended it for use with the Telegraph FF data. (I've removed the weekly tab, as well as the GK, Def, Mid and For tabs and I've amended all the codes to relate to the Telegraph version). I seems to work OK by adding the numbers in manually, it's just the adding extra teams part that I'm stuck on.

I've just looked at the mini-league spreadsheet and it looks as if you would need to add "name ranges" if you added additional teams to the sheet.
How many teams do you think you will have?

Due to The Sun website Columns changing around, and messing up the queries, here's fixed versions. I'll leave the originals available in the top post, just in case they change things back again.

Mini-League Spreadsheet Version 0-2-1

Download Here

Team Selector Spreadsheet Version 0-5-1

Download Here

Cheers

Thanks for the update andy, got the thing sort of working by deleting the extra columns but the ranges were all screwed up, have you got fixed/named ranges or are you using macros?

More out of curiosity than anything as your updates fix all, cheers bud!!!!!

Hi Andi.

When I enter my 3rd team for some reason it keeps pushing it down to the 60th team in the league worksheet. Anyone else having this problem or am I doing something wrong?

without looking, is it because they all have zero points, and team 3 has a name (alphabetically after the other 59 teams)?

Er no. I've only entered 3 teams so far.

Team 01 - Team name begin with R, Managers name begins with D
Team 02 - Team name begin with O, Managers name begins with L
Team 03 - Team name begin with M, Managers name begins with P

Teams 01 & 02 have been automatically slotted into positions 1 & 2 in the league worksheet, but team 03 is showing in position 60 and position team name(B3) is showing team 04.

Here's a screenshot to show you what I mean:-

Thanks for all the positive comments.

Gaylord, the table sorts on points first, then managers name, then team name. As all teams have no points and P is after M, then that team should be bottom of the table, as is shown in the screenshot. To get rid of the ## & #N/A, you need to reset the stats.

So far so good Andi.
Just one quick question. It's looks like I may have more than 60 teams.
How easy is to add more teams?

Andy,

I made reference to this thread in the new forum FAQ, hopefully you'll get some traffic from that!

The amended drop down menu is a good additional functional addition to Andis spreadsheet as it lessons the possibility of user error in the first place. Maybe you could merge something similar into futher versions eh Andi?

Keep up your great work.

This is great and will save me loads of time doing the work league. Just a question what happens with new players that have been added? i.e say delph? when i type in the code it doesn't come up with him - how do i update the list?
